In a Town of the first class, such as
Malone, the tax collecting officer is usually titled Receiver of
Taxes. Duties of this statutory position include the collection
of current Town and County Taxes and unpaid School or Village
Taxes from the prior year (Re-levy). In the Town of Malone the
Receiver of Taxes is an appointed position and carries a two
Collection of Town and County Taxes takes
place from January 1st through March 31st
annually. Payments may be made by mail or at the Town
Offices, 27 Airport Road, Malone New York 12953, Monday
through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Payment may be made by cash, check or money
order. Credit or Debit cards are not accepted.
